1. How much notice do I give before move-out?

You must give us at least 60 days “calendar month” notice, in writing, before your lease is up. (This needs to be completed on or before the first of the month). To do this, you must fill out a “Notice of Intent to Vacate” form, which is available in the leasing office. Please contact management to discuss further.
 

 

2. When is rent due?

Rent is due on the first (1st) day of every month. It is considered late on the second (2nd) day of every month. Rent drop boxes are conveniently located at every leasing office.
 

 

3. How do I report a service request?

You may call your leasing office, send an email, report in person to a member of the office staff, or go online to www.castocommunities.com. In the event of a maintenance emergency after hours, please call the resident manager. (This number will be provided to you at the time of move-in).
 

 

4. What is considered a maintenance emergency?

Fire/storm damage, no heat, no hot water, refrigerator out, broken water tank, clogged toilet (if only one in apartment), no A/C (temperature is 85 degrees or higher), entire stove/oven out, no electric, gas leak, sewage back-up, broken pipes, water leaks, break-ins, broken windows, broken locks and lock-outs.
 

 

5. What if I need to transfer to a different size apartment or another CASTO community?

 
You may transfer on-site under the following conditions:
A. A minimum of six (6) months has been fulfilled in the current unit.
B. A 30-day written notice of intent to vacate has been given.
C. You are currently in good standing with the community.
D. If you have not completed your current lease term, a $300 transfer fee has been paid.
E. You must sign a new 12-month lease.
 
You may transfer to another CASTO property under the following conditions:
A. You are in good standing with your current property.
B. A 30-day written Notice of Intent to Vacate has been given.
C. A minimum of six (6) months has been fulfilled in the current unit.
D. If you have not completed your current lease term, a $300 transfer fee has been paid.
E. A copy of the resident file has been given to the new property. The new property’s manager has approved the updated credit and criminal check, verified employment, and approved the file.
 

 

6. How do I obtain my packages if they are delivered in my absence?

The leasing office will sign for your UPS or FedEx package if you are not home. Packages will be kept at the office until you are available to pick them up. Please note that we are not responsible for lost or stolen deliveries.
 

 

7. What are the qualifications to move in to a CASTO community?

A. Provide acceptable documentation of employment.
B. Provide acceptable ID or current driver’s license for everyone 18 years of age or older.
C. Total gross income must exceed three (3) times your monthly rent. (Combined household income if more than one applicant).
D. All lease holders must have qualifying criminal background and residential history.
E. Security deposit is subject to change according to applicant qualifications.
 

 

8. Does CASTO offer a home ownership program?

Yes! We invite you to take advantage of our Rent to Grow program. Earn money towards the purchase of a new home while renting at your favorite CASTO community. It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3! Please see your leasing office for more details.
 

 

9. Do you allow pets at your communities?

Of course! We allow two (2) pets per apartment, combined weight limit cannot exceed 90 lbs. Breed restrictions include: Doberman, Rottweiler, Pit Bull, German Shepherd, Chow and Akita. Service animals are permitted at any property when the resident provides appropriate verification that the animal is a service animal. Please visit your rental office for details on pricing.
