About CASTO Communities
A Leader in the Real Estate Industry Since 1926
CASTO Communities has grown throughout the years and we continue to thrive. What first started as an idea to build single-family homes has developed into a business that has pioneered the commercial real estate and multifamily industry. From ground-up developments to redeveloping historic buildings into luxurious apartments, CASTO continues to grow and push the limits to create environments that residents crave. The properties may be our communities, but they are our residents’ neighborhood.
From The Beginning
For more than nine decades, CASTO has sustained its position as a leader in the real estate industry. The company’s strong foundation was established by its visionary founder, Don Monroe Casto, Sr., who began as a builder of single-family homes in 1926. As the company shifted focus to the retail side of real estate, CASTO still stayed true to its roots and maintained its residential portfolio. After remaining steady for years, CASTO started expanding its multifamily portfolio in 1995 with the company’s first new apartment community, Glenmuir.
Continued Growth
Since resuming an ambitious residential agenda in 1995, CASTO now owns / manages more than 6,500 units in 19 apartment communities throughout Ohio. CASTO continues to add to its residential portfolio through development, redevelopment, and acquisition of properties. Our residential property management and residential development experts aim to provide excellent services to partners, customers and the communities that our properties serve.
Our Philosophy
At CASTO, we achieve success by putting our residents and their needs first. All of our communities feature innovative home designs, construction standards that exceed industry norms, exceptional amenities, and locations that allow residents to enjoy the surrounding city. Our residential property management and residential development teams are dedicated to providing the highest level of service and strive to make “our communities your neighborhood.”
